Senior Media Buyer

Full-time

About the Role

The Media Buyer owns daily execution across Meta Ads (primary) and Google Ads (secondary), reporting directly to the Head of Performance Marketing. You are not expected to build strategy from scratch, but you are expected to execute it with precision, investigate anomalies before they become problems, and bring structured, data-backed thinking to every optimization decision.

Key Responsibilities

Meta Ads Execution

  • Build and manage campaigns, ad sets, audiences, and creative tests end-to-end.
  • Manage budget pacing and daily bid adjustments to stay within KPI targets.
  • Execute structured testing frameworks designed by the Head of Performance Marketing.
  • Rotate creatives proactively and diagnose fatigue before it impacts performance.
  • Maintain clean account structures aligned with current Meta best practices.
  • Troubleshoot delivery issues, pixel discrepancies, and tracking breakdowns immediately.

Google Ads

  • Build and optimize campaigns across Search, PMAX, and Display.
  • Implement keyword tests, audience layering, and bid strategies.
  • Keep Google efforts aligned with the Meta funnel strategy and maintain ROAS and CPA targets across all campaign types.
  • Share cross-channel learnings with the Head of Performance Marketing.

Optimization and Performance Management

  • Evaluate and act on KPIs daily: CPA, ROAS, nROAS, MER, FTIR, CTR, CPM.
  • Diagnose performance issues by funnel stage: ad level, landing page, checkout.
  • Use the agency decision framework when proposing solutions: state the problem clearly, present 2 to 3 potential solutions, and make a recommendation with data-backed reasoning.
  • Identify opportunities to scale spend safely and profitably.
  • Flag UTM issues, pixel inconsistencies, or attribution gaps immediately.
  • Validate tracking accuracy weekly across Meta Pixel, CAPI, and Google Tag Manager.

Testing and Experimentation

  • Implement weekly funnel, audience, and creative tests in collaboration with the Head of Performance Marketing.
  • Execute creative structure tests: hook variations, messaging angles, ad formats.
  • Support cross-channel testing, including Meta to search lift and PMAX reinforcement.
  • Track test results and present learnings on weekly internal strategy calls.

Creative Collaboration

  • Request new creatives proactively when KPI thresholds signal replacement is needed.
  • Flag creative bottlenecks early, before they cause account drag.
  • Provide clear, actionable performance notes to the Creative Strategist and Designer.
  • Ensure all ad formats meet platform specifications across Meta and Google.

Reporting and Communication

  • Submit weekly performance notes summarizing optimizations and test learnings.
  • Keep ClickUp tasks updated and clearly documented daily.
  • Communicate blockers and risks to the Head of Performance Marketing before they escalate.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager on launch timelines, revisions, and deliverables.
  • Support client-facing calls with clear tactical updates as needed.

Requirements

  • 4+ years managing paid media for DTC or performance-focused brands.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Meta Ads Manager.
  • Working knowledge of Google Ads, including Search and PMAX, or actively building that expertise.
  • Strong command of core PPC KPIs: CPA, ROAS, nROAS, MER, FTIR, CTR, CPM.
  • Experience running and documenting structured tests across audiences, creatives, and funnels.
  • Ability to diagnose performance issues at the ad level, landing page level, and offer level.
  • An understanding of how creative structure drives performance, with the ability to give useful feedback to creative teams.
  • A proactive, process-oriented working style: you follow SOPs, maintain clean documentation, and investigate issues before being asked.
  • Comfortable with async collaboration and clear written communication.
  • Experience with ClickUp or a comparable project management tool.
  • Full-time availability.

What's In It for You

  • The opportunity to drive performance for fast-scaling DTC and performance brands across Meta and Google.
  • Senior mentorship and clear escalation paths built into your day, working directly under the Head of Performance Marketing.
  • A seat on a high-performance pod alongside a Creative Strategist, Designer, and UGC/Influencer Manager.
  • Remote work with a culture that respects work-life balance and clear boundaries.
  • Access to continuing education and resources provided by the agency to grow in your field, including workshops, training programs, and industry conferences.
  • Real career growth on a small team where great work gets recognized.
